100 FREE tips to get rid of fat forever! TIP #8 VISUALIZE

                                                            100 TIPS IN 100 DAYS
                                                               TIP #8 VISUALIZE

I sort of touched base on the idea of visualization when I talked about goal setting, but now I will go into further detail, because this is a very important one.

While you are exercising, and all throughout your day as well, you should be visualizing yourself as the way you want to look and forget about how you do look COMPLETELY!  I mentioned cutting out magazine pictures of people you want to look like or going online and finding photos, well you can also put these photos on a dvd if your computer has a movie maker (you may be able to find a free download of a movie maker if you do not already have one, or you can buy the disc from the store if you wish) and write a "subliminal message" on the photo, while playing motivational music in the background.

If you do not have a movie maker, and do not plan on getting one, you can still do this, but instead of it being a movie, you will say "subliminal messages" to yourself while you look at photos and listen to music.  These messages could be things like "I am strong, lean, healthy, and in great shape" "Everyday I find new ways to make exercising fun" "I have the right tools and mindset to keep myself in shape" "Everyday I am getting thinner and thinner" "I am proud of my accomplishments and I am reaching my goals everyday" "I have the body I have always dreamed of having" and so on.

These messages, while looking at the photos of what you want your body to look like is creating new thought patterns in your subconcious mind.  This is more important than anything because if you are overweight now, it is probably 90% your subconcious mind's fault.  If you overeat and don't exercise it is probably an autopilot response of your subconcious mind according to your beliefs.  In other words, if you think you are fat long enough, it becomes a belief, if it is a belief, then your subconcious mind will hold onto it and do everything it can to make sure you stay fat.  If you start to get thinner, your subconcious mind literally finds ways to balance you back out because the belief is that you are fat, not thin.  It may sound unbelievable, but it is completely, without a doubt, true! If your belief is that food is your comfort, and it is hard to get rid of extra weight, than that is what will happen.  Why not make the new belief that exercise is your comfort and getting rid of extra weight is easy.  You will change your body's response by changing your beliefs.

Now, keep in mind that an old belief may, at sometimes, be hard to get rid of, depending on how long you have held onto it and how stubborn you are in the process of getting rid of it, but if you put in the effort, you can do this.  And a new belief takes about 30 days of constantly repeating repeating repeating to become a belief.  So that means that you are going to have to find out what your old belief is, go back to the first time you can remember feeling that way, and CHANGE IT.  This will be like a dream sequence or movie, go back to that first time you can remember, say you were a little kid and your parents told you you were getting too fat.  Go back to that time, see in your mind what was happening, and change what your parents said, or change what your resonse was.  Kind of like the movie the butterfly effect, if you have ever seen it.  Again, some people are going to think it sounds funny, but if you don't do this, and you start thinking these methods are too silly, then continue on with the other methods you are currently using that aren't working!

These methods work if done correctly and done everyday.  So do them!  Then constantly, everyday, repeat those messages to yourself.  "Getting rid of extra weight and fat is easy" "I love to exercise" or whatever it is that is creating your new belief.  Watch your movie or look at your photos, and picture, in your mind, those photos are on your body.  You have to start to actually feel like that is your leg, or your arm, or stomach, your body.  You need to feel like that is attatched to you, that you are literally carrying around those body parts and you can feel them attatched to you.  This is important, so hopefully you are catching on to what I mean.  You need to become that person and only think of yourself as that person.  I would try to avoid body length mirrors for a while and as I said, avoid scales and weighing yourself.  It is important that you start to think of yourself as what you want to look like ONLY and not think of yourself as what you actually look like, because I promise you if you do all that I suggested, that image in your mind WILL become your body .... it HAS to, just be patient and know that it will take a little time, this is a day at a time thing.  Nothing is done overnight, and nothing gets done without effort.   Change your thoughts now, and your body will eventually catch up to the image it already believes it is.

The reason for the motivating music playing is just that, it motivates you, makes you feel good, and adds emotion.  There are three elements that must be present when changing a thought in your subconcious mind and that is visualizing it, feeling as though it is real right now, and adding emotion to it - good emotion and good feelings.  The music makes those good feelings easy.  I like to listen to "make it happen" by mariah carey, and "fight for this love" by Cheryl Cole.  Of course instead of thinking about the "love" part, I think about whatever it is that I want to fight for.  I love a verse in the song "If it's worth having, it's worth fighting for" because it goes with anything.  If the nice body is good enough to have, it is good enough to fight for.  And that goes for money, nice cars, homes, love, good kids, anything.  If it is worth having, it is worth the fight to get it.  You can choose those songs or any other songs that you like. Download them on your ipod, or just put them on, on youtube.  (this is what I usually do)

I would watch your movie or do this routine once in the morning, once in the afternoon and once at night.  If you can'd do it that much, do it whenever you can, but remember, you always have your brain with you, and it is perfectly fine to remember the photos in your mind ANYTIME, and you can hear the song in your head, and repeat the messages to yourself.  You can do this anytime of the day and no one can stop you or tell you no, because they won't even know you are doing it.

It doesn't matter how you do it or when you do it, but it does matter that you DO IT EVERYDAY!!  And make sure you are erasing those old thoughts in the process.  Erase the old thought ONCE and then forget it, and focus on your new thoughts.  You can't keep going back to old thoughts without waking them back up.  So do the erasing once, and then only worry about your new thoughts and your new thoughts only.  If an old thought comes back up, laugh it off, brush it off and replace it with your new thought.

Keep in mind that it takes a while, and you will get there.  Just feel good, feel like you are at your goal already, watch your movies or look at your photos with messages and music.  After a couple months, you will be so glad that you did.  For some this takes a month or less to get these new ideas in their heads, and start making things happen and progress with the thoughts.  For others, it could take 6 months or longer, or even never.  If it is taking this long, it is because you are going back and giving into negative thoughts about yourself, and that will STOP you dead in your tracks!  If it never happens it is because you are flat out refusing to do this everyday and make a change in your life.  But either way, if it happens quickly, or it never happens at all, it is all due to you and your actions, it has nothing to do with any outside entities, or this process.  If your spouse, or anyone for that matter, bashes you constantly about your weight, it is your fault for listening to it or even being around someone like that!  You choose what information you believe, you choose what types of emotions that information gives you.  You may think it is an automatic response, and due to your subconcious mind running the show it kind of is, but you can choose to change those thoughts right now.  It's up to you ..... make the change for yourself.

So, TIP #8 visualize using photos of what you want to look like, seeing your body as though your goals have already been met and only seeing your body in this form and NO OTHER, listen to motivating music that lifts your spirits and gets you going, and repeat messages to yourself to create new thought patterns in your subconcious mind.  Do this every-single-day, and at times when you are not able, do it in your head.  No one can stop you from that.  Do it everyday and after about 30 days or so, your body will become a fat burning machine all on it's own!
