100 FREE tips to get rid of fat forever! TIP #19 SUPPLEMENTS

                                                          100 TIPS IN 100 DAYS
                                                        TIP #19 SUPPLEMENTS

There is all sorts of talk about whether or not supplements are good or bad for you.  I believe that most supplements can be both good and bad depending on how the individual feels about them.  Follow your gut and intuition.  If something feels wrong and you feel like you shouldn't take it, don't.  And if something feels right, and you feel like this could make you feel good, then take it.

L-Carnitine is a great supplement to take.  It is an amino acid that helps break down fat and uses it for energy.  It is all natural and an essential amino acid.  L-Arginine is also an essential amino acid that helps repair muscle and is best taken after working out.  You can find L-Arginine inside of Nitric Oxide, which is another supplement you can take when you exercise.  This helps blood flow, use of oxygen, energy levels, muscle growth, mental focus, strength, endurance, and muscle repair after workouts.  It is in powder form (which I like the best) to be mixed and taken as a drink, or pill form.  There are more expensive brands at GNC, or you can go pick it up at Walmart, the name is N.O. Fury.  Obviously follow directions correctly and don't take too much.

A daily multi vitamin is great to take as well.  One that I would suggest is Nature's Way "ALIVE!" it has 26 fruits and vegetables, as well as your daily vitamins, including a mixture of berries, acai, and wheat grass, which are all EXCELENT for your health.  Even though you shouldn't depend on a pill to give you your daily fruit and vegetable intake, this can really help out.

These can also be bought at walmart for under $10.  You'll find niacin, B vitamins, Biotin, Iodine, Vitamin C, and Vitamin E which are all used for weight and/or beauty.   Biotin and Vitamin E will keep your skin, hair, and nails healthy and growing, B vitamins will keep energy levels up, Niacin and Vitamin C help to get rid of toxins, and  Iodine can help you to lose weight, and is especially helpful if you have a thyroid problem.  There are many benefits to all of these vitamins that I don't have time to list, but since many people don't know the benefits of iodine, I have left a link to an article if you want to read about it.  You can find it here http://www.nlm.nih.gov/medlineplus/druginfo/natural/35.html

Cinnamon can also be found in pill form and can be taken to break down the sugar in your body.  Cayenne pepper (also in pill form) can increase metabolism.  Remember that any of these supplements I mention can be found at walmart for very low prices, but should never be taken in excess.  Too much of anything can lead to health problems as well.

Protein shakes are another great supplement to add to your diet, and it is a good idea to use meal replacement shakes.  Just make sure that the ones you purchase aren't filled with sugar.  Slim fast is one of those that is full of sugar, suprisingly enough to some people.  Right size smoothie is a good one (sold at Albersons and online http://www.rightsizeonline.com/ ) and Jillian Michaels from The Biggest Loser has shakes and protein powder that you can buy.  There are many others that are great, not just these, just check the back and make sure the sugar is low and it has everything else you are looking for such as the protein and nutrients.

Jillian Michaels also has fat burners and detox systems that are only to be taken for about a week, and they seem to be the safest to me.  But again, you have to trust your gut, and if your gut says not to, don't.  You can visit her website for a free 7 day trial at http://www.jillianweightloss.com/membership

Remember that not all supplements are going to be good for you, and if you don't like how they make you feel, don't take them, but that also doesn't mean that taking supplements is a bad thing.  They can be great and help move things along faster in a healthy way, as long as they are not taken in excess, you follow the directions and stick to the more natural products.

So, TIP #19, supplements can be a great thing to take to help you move things along, and help you to be healthier, stronger, and give more energy.  Some of the ones I suggest are L-Carnitine, L-Arginine, Nitric Oxide, Nature's Way "ALIVE" vitamins (as well as iodine which is found in these vitamins), Cinnamon, Cayenne Pepper, protein shakes, low sugar meal replacement shakes, (such as Jillian Micheals or right size smoothie) and some natural fat burner and detox pills such as Jillian Michaels line of supplements.  Remember to trust your gut and your instincts, never over-do it, and always discontinue use if you don't like the way you feel.  All of these can be found fairly cheap at Walmart as well.  Take these responsibly and you'll be burning fat in no time!

100 FREE tips to get rid of fat forever! TIP #18 KEEPING LOGS

                                                              100 TIPS IN 100 DAYS
                                                             TIP #18 KEEPING LOGS

There are a few different types of logs that you should be keeping to ensure your success.  For one thing,  you should have your exercise routine written out for where you have easy access to it.  This can be on your computer, or a large desk calender.  And everyday that you accomplish it, you should highlight it, check it off, put a star next to it, or some type of indication that you have achieved this daily goal.  If you slip off of your exercise routine for a long time, I would start over from day one. (remember, you are suppose to be doing a little extra each day, pumping it up a little more so there is no plateau, if you get away from your routine for too long, you might find it too much of a challenge to get back in the swing of things and give up - if you find it easy to get back in the swing, then keep going at it, don't regress if you don't have to)

It is better to have a daily routine as well, so have a daily action plan.  Decide what you are going to be doing for the day, and write it all out.  Your routine can change from day to day according to what your schedule is, but write out a daily action plan each day.  Those who wake up in the morning, think about what needs to be done, decide what they have to do, and write it down on a piece of paper (called an action plan) are more likely to succeed.  Remember to put this paper somewhere where you can look at it frequently, and when one of your actions is done, cross it off the list and be proud of yourself for your accomplishment.

An action plan could go like this

1. Do exercise routine for atleast 1 hour
2. Add fruits and vegetables to every meal
3. Read affirmations
4. Read goals
5. Visualise for 30 minutes
6. Meditate for 30 minutes

and so on .... you can even add in there the erronds that you need to get done for the day to better plan out your day.  You don't need to do them in order, but keep looking at your list so you don't forget what needs to be done, remember to cross it off when you have done it as well.

Another log is the affirmations log that we talked about.  Another log is your goals that we talked about.  You even want to keep a log of everything you ate that day, or plan out what your meals are going to be.  This all may seem like a lot of work, but once you get use to eating a certain way and living a certain way, you may find that you don't need to keep logs on everything.  This will get easier with time.

Also keep a folder, portfolio, computer file, or what have you, with photos of people that have a body type that you want.  Remember that it is important NOT to feel bad when you look at these photos.  You have to feel good, you have to feel like that is your body and your reward for doing all this work.  If you feel jealousy or resentment, or a feeling that you can't have that, or even a feeling of "I wish I could have that" you are going in the opposite direction.  This will either keep you your same size or it could even make you gain weight!  You want to feel good, empowered, proud of yourself, and you want to feel like you are not only worthy of accomplishing your goals, but more than capable.  Feel like that is your body as a reward for your efforts, and not a body that you wish to have or that you hope to have soon.

All of these logs are to keep you on track and going in the right direction.  They shouldn't feel like work, you should be happy to look at your progress, they should make you feel good and empowered.  Make sure to always feel this way, and document your plans and your accomplishments.  Have seperate notebooks for each one, and put them all somewhere that is easy to access, start your day out by looking at each one.

You can choose not to do this, but you should make getting in shape your main priority right now.  There is nothing better in life then to feel good, and if you don't feel good because your body isn't where you want it to be, then right now, there is nothing more important than getting your body in the shape you want it to be in.  You'll find it easier to do EVERYTHING else in your life once your body is in order, and if it continues to stay out of order, you will find EVERYTHING a lot harder then it has to be.  Make this priority right now, change your body and change your life.

So, TIP #18, keep a log of your daily exercise plan and make sure to highlight it or give some type of emphasis to it when you finish it, you should be proud.  Keep a log of your daily meals, what you plan to eat and what you actually ate, don't cheat or lie, this is for you so be honest.  Keep a log of affirmations and read them daily, add to them when you feel the need to.  Keep a log of short term and long term goals, read them daily and you can even add or change these when you feel you want to go in a different direction.  You have the right to change your mind.  Make a daily action plan so that you can stay on track each and everyday.  Keep a file with photos of people who have a body type that you want, look at it daily, feel as though that is you and that is your reward for your efforts, and keep it somewhere where you can access it easily.  Keep these daily logs until they become second nature and you'll be burning fat automatically before you know it.

100 FREE tips to get rid of fat forever! TIP #17 CONNECTING WITH POWER

                                                            100 TIPS IN 100 DAYS
                                               TIP #17 CONNECTING WITH POWER

I am talking about connecting with both the power in you and a higher power.  This was one of the 13 steps to having anything in the last tip I gave you.  There is an energy that flows through and around all of us, and we are connected through it.  If you'd like to know more about this, lean about scientific studies proving it, or get detailed information, look up Quantum Physics on google, yahoo, or your home page, and you will find tons of information.

No matter what our beliefs are, they can all work for you using this tip, connecting with power.  If you believe in God, connect with God, if you believe in Jesus, connect with Jesus, if you believe in Buddah, connect with Buddah, and the same goes for if you believe in the universe, in an energy that connects us, Ala, Rah, or if you don't believe in anything at all, atleast believe in yourself!

You can connect with any of these powers, or you can connect with the power within yourself, and if you search for guidence and answers, or help in getting in shape (or whatever it is) you will find it.  It doesn't really matter what the TRUTH behind anything we believe is, it just matters that you believe in something.

So many religions have wars over who is right and wrong, it's very silly to say the least, because they really believe in THE SAME THING.   It doesn't matter if it is God or Ala you believe in, it is the same thing.  I know some people might take offense to that, but those people need to open up their minds a little, it is the same thing with different names.  It is a higher power that we pray to for help, guidence, support, answers, peace, or whatever it is we pray for, that we believe is responsible for creation.

So, TIP #17, connect with a higher power, even if that power is the power within yourself, connect with it, ask for help, ask for guidence, ask for what it is that you want and expect to get an answer.  It is great to do this during meditation, but connect and expect an outcome.

100 FREE tips to get rid of fat forever! TIP #16 THE IMPORTANCE OF FEELING GOOD

                                                      100 TIPS IN 100 DAYS
TIP #16 THE IMPORTANCE OF FEELING GOOD

I keep mentioning in other tips that you have to feel good.  And I keep mentioning that the releasing of endorphins can help you to burn fat and feeling good causes these to release.  But there are a ton of other reasons why feeling good is so important.

Feeling good gives you energy, you are more likely to exercise and experience life when you feel good, you will have less stress (and stress adds on pounds) when you feel good, saratonine and endorphins are released giving you relaxation, calm, and happiness, and you are more likely to attract not only positive situations, but also positive outcomes, when you feel good.

Did you know that you can have anything you want in life, and a big part of getting anything is feeling good.  There are other parts to it as well, and some of those key ingredients to having ANYTHING you want are ....

     1. You must have a burning desire to make it yours
     2. You must EXPECT it to be yours and EXPECT it to happen without a doubt
     3. You must believe that you are worthy of having whatever it is that you are wanting
     4. You must believe that it is already yours and act as though it is already in your posession
     5. You must be positive and only talk, think, and speak about what it is you are wanting in a positive   maner, leaving out everything it is you do not want - never talk about what you don't want again.
     6. Do everything you possibly can to make it yours, act as though it were impossible to fail, stop at nothing and put productive action into any moment you can.
     7. Reach for happy thoughts and feel good thoughts.  Make sure you are feeling good ALL THE TIME
The more you feel good, the more likely it is to be yours.
     8. Everyday, visualise and see yourself already in posession of it, make sure this is a detailed visualisation, use your imagination, and feel like you are actually physically there.
     9. Practice practice practice, the more you practice, the more of an expert you become.  You can use trial and error, don't be afraid of mistakes, mistakes are learning stones, use them as that and practice
    10. Don't care about what others think or say, it doesn't make sense to let their opinions get in your way.
    11. Have clearly, precise and very detailed goals and action plans written out (that you know you can reach) and give yourself time limits to reach them by - goals should be in steps, believable to you, and you should work hard to make sure you reach them by their time limit.  You should have short term and long term goals, and keep them in mind at all times, while concentrating on taking steps of your short term goals with daily action plans.
     12. Constantly be looking at your goals, everyday, keep reminding yourself what needs to be done, make sure you also read and write a daily action plan to carry these goals out and stick to them.
     13. Meditate, you don't realise how important meditation is until you start using it and see how well it works for you.  Use meditation for relaxation, to clear your mind, and also for mental re-programming.  You can use meditation to change your thoughts and find solutions to problems you seek answers to.
     14. Connect with a higher power (whatever it is that you believe that power is - God, Ala, Buddah, Jesus, your dead relatives, energy itself, the universe, whatever it is there is, there is some force of energy around us and through us, connect with it and ask it for help, guidence, and direction and expect to get an answer)
     15. Never stop learning, keep researching, studying and learning about whatever it is that you want.

If you could live your life by these 15 rules, and I mean really follow them to a T, (not follow them one day and not the next, and not follow some of them and not the others, and actually make sure you are doing them correctly) you can have anything you want, and your body is included in that.  If you could think this way on a regular basis, and with practice and repitition, you can, then you can have whatever body it is that you want.

A HUGE part to this formula is being happy constantly, if you could be happy all the time, ALL of the other steps would come SO incredibly easy to you that it won't feel like work at all, but if you can't find reasons and ways to keep yourself happy, then all of these steps can actually become a real chore!

Find reasons to be happy and feel good.  If you can't find a reason, make one up, be happy that the sky is blue today or if you like rain, be happy if it is raining.  Be happy that you can hear or see, touch, smell or taste.  Just find reasons to be completely happy and feel good, it is very important for a lot of reasons.

So, TIP #16 find excuses to feel good, look for reasons to be happy, make sure you are living a happy, feel good life at all times if possible.  Your entire future depends on it, so look at it that way and reach for things that feel good.

100 FREE tips to get rid of fat forever! TIP #15 WHY WEIGHTS ARE SO IMPORTANT

                                                       100 TIPS IN 100 DAYS
TIP #15 WHY WEIGHTS ARE SO IMPORTANT

For one thing, weights are important because if you're not sweating, then you're not working.  If you aren't sweating after a workout, then you haven't burned any fat.  Sweat is a great indicator that you are burning fat and getting rid of toxins in your body.  Using weights can make this process faster.

If any exercise that you are doing, whether it be swimming, jogging, walking, dancing, sports, anything, if you start to feel truly exhausted, you are not helping yourself to get into shape, quite the opposite actually.  When you start to feel like you can't go on and you are hurting, you could be damaging your heart or other organs.  Exercise should feel good, you should feel alive, it should give you energy, and it should be fun.  Of course, there is always a difference between actually hurting yourself and just being lazy, so it is up to you to tell the difference.  You know when you are being lazy and when you are not.  And it shouldn't be a complete piece of cake, there should be a little bit of a challenge, but you should find ways to feel good in doing it.

One way to do that is, you could keep telling yourself that the burn feels good because that burn means it's working.  I like to picture that all that burning is my muscles heating up and burning the fat on top of it right off my body.

But even when swimming, jogging, walking, riding a bike, dancing, playing sports, or exercising in any way, adding weights to the equation boosts up your results in less time, and gives you beautifully defined muscles.  Using weights does not mean you will bulk up and look too muscular, you can even start with 1 pound weights if you wish.  If it feels TOO easy, you should bump it up a little, but if it feels TOO hard, then you should tone it down.  A lot of times you will find 1 pound is too easy, but 2 pounds is too hard or 2 pounds is too easy but 3 pounds is too hard. (and so on)  In these cases, stick with the easier one until you are comfortable moving onto the harder one.

You don't want to be weight lifting for hours and hours a day, and you don't have to wear ankle weights or wrist weights all day long.  You are not looking to tire yourself out.  But if you are going for walks, for example, your body is already use to carrying around the weight that it carries all day.  So if you are 150 pounds, it is use to carrying 150 pounds and it doesn't need to work harder to do so just because you decided to exercise.  While your body may not be use to a lot of activity, or extra activity, it will not be as effective to just simply walk as it would be to walk with weights.

You are causing your body to pump it up by adding extra weight that it is not use to carrying around, causing the muscles to work a little harder.  In this way, you are burning fat, and without the weights, you are just keeping your body moving so that it still works.  If you don't use your body, it will start to slow down.  Walking will become harder, and diseases "related to age" may start to cut in.  By using your body, you stop this from happening or slow the process down, so it is important to keep moving.  But if you want to burn fat and get rid of pounds, using weights will help you do that.

If you walk on a treadmill, put it to the "hill" setting so that you are climbing, if you are riding a bike or bike exercise machine, put more resistance on it so that you have to work a little harder.  Find exercises that you feel are fun so you don't get bored of doing them.  Find ways to enjoy them and look forward to them so you do them everyday, and make sure you use some kind of weights.

Also make sure that once you get use to the weights, that you increase the pounds.  Your body will get use to it and it will not work as affectively, so you have to put it into a little bit of a shock again, and increase the weight.  Just make sure you are ready for it when you do, and go up slowly.  Don't move from 2 pounds to 10 as your next step, and don't go up any if it is too hard to do so.  Take your time, it's not a race, you have all the time in the world.  Be patient, you'll get there.

So, TIP #15 make sure to exercise daily, and add weights to every exercise.  It can be as small as one pound, just make sure you use a weight that is not too easy and not too hard.  Don't burn yourself out, have fun with it, and remember to increase the pounds on the weight as you get comfortable with them.  Incorporate weights into every exercise and you'll be burning fat in no time!

100 FREE tips to get rid of fat forever! TIP #14 AFFIRMATIONS

                                                         100 TIPS IN 100 DAYS
                                                       TIP #14 AFFIRMATIONS

Affirmations are a MUST when trying to get in shape.  We talked before about erasing your old beliefs holding you back from getting in shape, and we talked about always being positive and happy, and we talked about looking at yourself as already being at your goal weight, and only think of yourself in that way.  Well a great tool to get this going is affirmations.

Affirmations are statements you tell yourself to affirm something.  You should write them down, and tell them to yourself every single day.  Push aside any negative talk and only use positive talk and affirmations, and mean them when you say them.  Say them while you are exercising, when you are waking up, all throughout your day, before you go to sleep, all the time!

They can be statements such as "everyday I am getting rid of more fat off of my body" "I feel more and more energy as time goes by" "I feel great, energized, alive, and light" "I feel like I can take on anything" "I am ____ pounds, which is right where I want to be" (Put your goal weight in here not your actual weight) "I am burning off one pound of fat every single day, my mind is clearer, my body is stronger and I am thankful to get rid of this weight" "I am beautfiul, I see it, and so does the rest of the world" "I have all the tools I need to be in any kind of shape that I want" "I control my body and my outcomes" "I look and feel exactly how I want to look and feel, and I look gorgeous and feel on top of the world" and so on.  Make sure that they are also personal, mean something to you, and that they are positive, going in the direction you want to go.  You can use the ones I stated, use your own, or use a combination of both, it's up to you.

It is okay if you don't really feel they are true to life right now.  Maybe you don't have energy, maybe you're not at your goal weight, but it doesn't matter .... keep telling yourself you are anyway.  Once you start to truly believe them your body will have no other choice but to become them.  Remember a belief is something we tell ourselves over and over again and KNOW it to be true.  You want to make sure you are telling it to yourself over and over again, and get in the character of them being true.

Like I said, even if you don't believe them right now, with more practice you will, and as soon as you do, your body will start to change all on it's own.  But it is very important that you don't tell yourself  "I am full of energy" and then sit on the couch telling yourself "But I'm too tired to do anything"  These are contradictory statements, and they will get you NO WHERE.  Start believing and acting the part!  It is important, and if you don't want to do this, then sadly you will not get results.  It really is that important.

Make sure you write them down and read them over every day.  You can always add new ones to your list, and there can be over 100 if you really want.  There is no limit, just make sure you are believing them and saying them everyday.

If you are having trouble coming up with affirmations, take a piece of paper and fold it in half.  On the left half, write down things you do NOT want.  Maybe they are "I don't want to be fat" "I don't want to be lazy" "I don't want to feel terrible about myself" "I don't want to be made fun of" or whatever it is.  On the right side write the OPPOSITE of that statemet, and write it as if it has already happened.  "I am thin" "I am full of energy" "I feel great about myself" "People are impressed with me"  And make sure to leave what you don't want behind.  You are only bringing it up for this exercise, other then that, what you don't want is no longer important.

So, TIP #14, make a list of affirmations.  These should be in accordance to what it is that you want, and how life will be when your goals are met.  Read these affirmations everyday, all day long, over and over again with conviction and belief.  ACT, BELIEVE, READ AND THINK THE PART, and you will be a fat burning machine in not time.  Make the effort, it will be so worth it in the long run.  You don't need to tell anyone about your affirmations, these are for you.  Keep yourself motivated and don't let others bring you down.

100 FREE tips to get rid of fat forever! TIP #13 REWARDS

                                                           100 TIPS IN 100 DAYS
                                                               TIP #13 REWARDS

The best way to get someone to do something is by giving some kind of reward.  A child doesn't want to listen unless there's something in it for them, a teenager doesn't want to do chores unless they get an allowance, an adult doesn't want to work unless they are compensated with pay, everyone wants to know that if they work hard, their hard work will be paid in some type of reward.

And when it comes to all of your efforts in order to get into shape, you need to keep in mind what your rewards are.  This can motivate you and get you going when you don't feel like "going"! :)  Your own rewards may be the ones everyone thinks of when they think of getting in shape, or they may be unique and personal.

When people are extremely obese, sometimes their reward is life.  Making sure they aren't going to die.  Your rewards may be something simpler like being able to wear a bikini at the beach, feeling confident when you go out instead of embarrassed.  Maybe you are like I was and you didn't want to wear sleeveless shirts anymore or shorts, and a reward would be to be able to wear them again, or in some cases, be able to wear them for the first time in their lives.  A reward is more energy and being able to take on new activities you couldn't before.

Another great idea for a reward may be that you get to buy an outfit you've had your eye on, and actually fit into it!  (make sure it is an outfit that matches your goal weight and size)  If you take it a step farther and actually buy the outfit and have it at your house, even better.  This is practicing expectancy.  If you EXPECT to be able to fit in that outfit, your results will come even quicker, as long as you don't lose expectancy or give the outfit away first.  Having it at your house will also motivate you further because you get to look at it everyday and imagine what you will look like in it, not to mention the fact that you spent money on it may motivate you.  No one wants to waste their money.

Think about your rewards, write them down, and remind yourself of them when you are exercising, and when you are trying to muster up motivation to eat right or exercise.

So, TIP #13 Write down what your rewards are for getting in shape and make sure to keep reminding yourself of what they are to keep you motivated.  Be as detailed and as personal as you want, this is for you and no one else.  Keep in mind that your hard work will always have an award.
